Weekend Wrap Up: 17/10/15

B Grade: vs Puckapunyal

After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Pyalong’s B Grade title defence got off to a shaky start, losing openers Jamo Pryor (7), Joe Ryan (12), and Damo Zoch (1) in quick succession to be 3/23. Alex Simpson (11) and Sean Delaney (15) steadied the innings, until both fell in the same over, with captain Matt Wilkins (5) following soon after. With the score 6/68, a brief cameo from Jess Donnelly and some help from fellow lower order batsman we pushed the score to 135 all out. Jess top scored with 25.

In the field, a run out in the first over had us up and about, however that would not last very long, a good partnership between the Pucka batsman saw them pass our score with the loss of just two wickets.

A tough result first up for our B Graders. Next week they take on Flowerdale on the road.

C Grade also take on Flowerdale, at home.

U16s start their season on Sunday at Kilmore.
